Ownership over perquisites

With respect to perquisites, I’ve long had my reservations.

My observation long was, as long as you are with the person providing it, you have it all, but the moment you are away from them or you have an independent need or a want, you don’t have the same perks.

So ownership is much better than the perks.

During my latest visit to my hometown, congratulations to me, I had no money, no scooter, and no car.

In effect, I was paralyzed from going to any place, meeting any person independently.

I was confined to my home for almost the entire duration of my hometown visit.

I felt like I was trapped

I used to have everything when I was with the people providing the perks and I was with them all these years almost all of the time. So for the same reason, I did not prioritize buying a scooter or a car. There was no feeling for buying one when there were already cars and scooters around.

Now that I am not with them most of the time, I don't have a scooter most of the time. I don't have a car most of the time. And I run out of money a lot.

Down the road, I think I will begin with buying one scooter, one car, making and keeping a lot of money so I can use it anytime I would want.

Doing these will enable me to do a lot of things independently.
